We’re Back! Live Music Returns with the Michigan Philharmonic
Our 2021-2022 season will be one for the history books. The Michigan Philharmonic is planning a grand “Take2 Celebration” for its 76th season, looking to the future – “back to the future,” you might say – and remembering what would have been our diamond jubilee year in 2020.
Nan Washburn, now entering her 23rd season as the Philharmonic’s nationally respected Music Director & Conductor, will showcase innovative programming and diverse music featuring eight live concerts of classical and pops music with a special emphasis on diversity and contemporary repertoire. Highlights include two world premieres; a birthday bash, unique soloists, including mandolin, steelpan, and viola; a famed jazz guitarist; silky sounds of contemporary singer Suede; our traditional holiday pops program; and Beethoven’s beloved Ninth Symphony.
MI PHIL – MY WAY!
We want to make it easy for you to enjoy Michigan Phil concerts and have options to help you design your own season ticket package.
- Mix and Match: You need to purchase a minimum of 5 tickets to get a subscription, but you can mix and match the tickets any way you like - you can even get them all for one concert!
- Pay Now and Choose Later: Don’t know your schedule yet or can’t decide? Then pay now and choose your concerts later. (Call or email us!)
Please contact us at our offices by phone at (734) 451-2112 or by email at info@michiganphil.org to let us know which concerts you would like to attend.
Play It Forward is an initiative by which you can make it possible for high- and middle-schoolers to attend MI Phil concerts. If you'd like to support this cause, tickets for students are $10 each. Please make a donation in increments of $10, i.e. 4 tickets would be a $40 donation.
